SEATTLE – December 2, 2015 — Indix, the cloud-based Product Intelligence company that provides analytics and insights for brands, retailers and commerce enablers, today announced immediate availability of the Advanced Search Endpoint (ASE) in the Indix Product API.
Indix enterprise customers can now take advantage of Indix fuzzy matching algorithms and data pipeline to vastly improve the way they find products in the Indix Product Intelligence database. Using ASE, they can find products more quickly and save a significant amount of time over hand-curating search results.
ASE takes in incomplete product information, runs it through the Indix data algorithms, and produces a set of more accurately matched products. It uses product title on its own or combined with Universal Product Code (UPC), Manufacturer Part Number (MPN), brand or store information for up to 20 results per product weighted by a confidence score. Using this confidence score, customers can determine which results may need to be hand-curated.

For each product that ASE returns, customers will receive universal data, or the combination of catalog and offers data. Indix generates matched results via advanced data science and machine learning algorithms in order to surface the most relevant products. Customers receive outputs that contain highly relevant search results and matched results that they can differentiate with a simple Boolean field.
