What is your role at Indix?

My role at Indix is to be the trusted advisor and advocate for our customers, who are our lifeblood. My focus is to enhance the client relationship by gaining a deep understanding of each customer’s use case and pain points. If customer success is successful, we will become the voice for each of our customers internally and their support structure externally.

What did you do before Indix?

Prior to Indix, I spent 12 years in a variety of roles with the research and development organization at Boeing – Boeing Research & Technology. As a child, I had a deep rooted passion for aerospace and this was only amplified after joining Boeing. Working in R&D afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with some brilliant folks while learning the intricacies of aerospace manufacturing. Throughout my career at Boeing, my experiences were varied but most recently I ran a process simulation and advanced analytics team. Our expertise was in collecting, organizing, and analyzing large amounts of manufacturing data which would later be used to develop virtual manufacturing environments, supply chain optimization models, and new technology insertion strategies.

Why did you join Indix?

I’ve known for a while that it was time to make a career change, but I was not willing to take a leap unless I was truly passionate about the idea, team, and culture that I was leaping to. Indix immediately intrigued me and as I learned more about the strategy and scale, I became increasingly sure that this was where I wanted to be. My “aha!” moment occurred after meeting the engineering team in India and seeing first-hand the passion and brains behind the idea.

What have you learned working for a startup?

I’ve learned that dependability, accountability, and trust have different meanings than they did in my previous life. Ultimately, we are attempting to solve a problem that is extremely challenging without the manpower of a big organization. In order to be successful, each of us has to deliver on our commitments and trust that everyone else is doing the same.

What technologies or trends get you most excited?

I love reading about the latest trends in unmanned transportation and drone development. I get excited when I think of a safer, more efficient world where transportation accidents are minimal, speeding/parking tickets don’t exist, and your favorite products are dynamically delivered to your home by a friendly flying robot.

What do you do for fun?

I am a competition junkie who loves playing all sports. My go to sports right now are golf and tennis, but I love getting introduced to new activities. I also love cooking – trying to replicate my mom’s South Indian recipes is nearly impossible but I love to try.

What is your favorite technology product?

My Fitbit, my golf rangefinder, my Sonos, and my Nest.

How would your friends describe you?

My friends would say that I am fiercely loyal to the people close to me, that I am a people person who loves to be surrounded by friends or family, and that I love my gadgets.
