What is your role at Indix?
The Indix Product API is our bread and butter, and it needs to be available for 24×7. The stability of the API shows the stability of the company. I work for the team that takes care of the API. I am a back-end developer and my role includes taking care of back-end API development and fixing any customer issues. One of my responsibilities is to stabilize the API’s platform and fix any platform related issues.
What did you do before Indix?
I have worked in multiple roles such as application developer, kernel developer, and senior firmware engineer. My expertise includes firmware development, kernel development, multimedia application development, and Android development.
Why did you join Indix?
Working for a startup was always on my mind. Moreover, the office setup and the interview process inspired me to join Indix. I admire the transparency and the people here. The technology stack is exciting, and of course, so is the massive amount of data they have about products. Nobody has this much data and such a robust platform.
What have you learned working for a startup?
The growth and learning is amazing in startups. I have developed decision-making skills and coping skills for a fast-paced environment. I have learned to be more responsible, how to communicate and work with people in an efficient way, and also have fun. Indix has helped me realize my potential and strengths.
What technologies or trends get you most excited?
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the next big thing in the industry. All devices will be connected and the amount of data it generates is going to be huge.
What do you do for fun?
Nowadays, I spend my leisure time with my daughter. Otherwise, I love solving algorithmic problems, watching movies, and playing outdoor games. I also love to cook and try out different dishes.
What is your favorite technology product?
Google Maps. Without Google Maps, many apps and startups wouldn’t exist right now. It has given people access to location awareness wherever they are, and changed the way we commute, order food, or travel etc.
How would your friends describe you?
Dedicated, focused, reliable, and innocent 🙂
