“You are the work you do” and I go by this quote. Working for a startup gave me a unique learning opportunity and has helped me learn some key lessons like absolute sense of ownership, and adaptability to work in chaos yet deliver results. At work, I am encouraged to take calculated risks and have strong support to wade through any crisis that I may come across. The ambitious mission of building the world’s largest collection of structured product information and the journey the team has embarked upon in making this a reality is something that inspires me every minute.

What does a typical work day look like for you?
My day begins with a stand-up where we review what we did the day before and make plans for that day. The stand-ups are power packed with tailored discussions on the core work and the ways to go about solving the toughest challenges. Apart from stand-ups, we have a quick team huddle for design and code reviews. I love the part of working with other cross-functional teams who are some of my stakeholders as they always have something new to offer and help me look at problems in a multi-dimensional way. Amidst the hectic and lovely time at work, I do catch up on some time to unwind by playing a game of ping pong or carrom and needless to say some friendly banter with friends during coffee and lunch break.

How do you balance your work and personal life? What do you do for fun?
I am a big movie buff and I watch all the movies that release in a given month. Needless to say, I also own a huge collection of movies and watch them during my free time. I can spend countless hours watching movies or reading a novel during my coffee breaks.
